Re: VC10 Flypast
Since when has the VC10 been the "funbus" ? I assumed this referred to the A330s

Ah, thanks for the explanation
Re: VC10 Flypast
I just happened to have this week off, and only found out about the flypast this morning on VC10.net, so I went to see them arrive in formation for the types final landing at Brize. Truly the end of an era.
Was a lovely warm sunny day for it.
Just seen a report on it on BBC Oxford news.
RAF site update...http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafbrizenorton/ne ... C1DE924BDA
Just the delivery flights left, to Bruntingthorpe and Dunsfold - apparently destined for Brooklands.

Re: VC10 Flypast
The last of the British Greats!!
I wonder if Tonks would have liked to have flown one again before they are grounded for good?
Now what is going to happen to the VC10 simulator at Brize.....any-one know?
Nigel.

Re: VC10 Flypast
I was just reading about this on the BBC. I haven't seen one for about 4 or 5 years, so I won't notice their absence.
Had I known about the flypasts, I would have biked up to Coningsby. Never mind, another wonder of British engineering disappears into the history books (and YouTube
).
Can't say I'm looking forward to seeing the Voyager - but I would really look forward to seeing a VC for Dave's Vic ten, then I could do my own "refuelling" sorties
PS - oooh! Look what I found!:

Re: VC10 Flypast
At the end of one of the BBC news films it says the final two are being to Leicester and Surrey.... so Dave is Brooklands getting another VC10?
Kind regards
