[Bac 1-11] Where to find 2D cockpit

Post by richtho »

Hi,
I have a very old computer, and I am looking for a 2D cockpit for the Bac 1-11. I don't want to use the 3D cockpit for the right and left view
It is to heavy for my PC.

Where I can find it? I have looked on Avsim, but no result.

Thank-you

David.

Hi David, its part of the base model, not a separate download. If you download the model from DMflightsim.co.uk you get the model and the panel. Hope that helps.

You should be able to disable the VC by editing the model with a Hex editor.

Have a read of post #3 here http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthrea ... ost1285395

Note, always backup the model first. I haven't tried this with the 1-11, so I can't be sure it will work, or it may have some other adverse effect. Use at your own risk.

I remember this and thought I'd uploaded an older 2D (novc) model *-) I'm sure I have them knocking around somewhere if you have no success with the hex editor :)

Can't you just specify 2D so that shows instead of the 3D.??

You can mate but I think he's saying that the full model (with VC) is a little heavy on his system. I have the same problem with the QWRJ in FSX and to some degree, I had it with the CaptainSim 707 in FS9. With the 707, I used a hex editor to remove the VC from the model. Never tried with the RJ and don't need to now I have the JF/CLS146 for FSX :)

I've just had a look on my webspace and the no-vc 111's are still there. Not sure why I have the 400 separate but there you go. They can be downloaded HERE for the 111's (200's/500's I presume) and HERE for the 400 :)

Ah I see...so it's a case of getting the VC ignored rather than hidden...or a 2D

I forget now but was there any changes with the One-Eleven texture wise apart from the night texture?? which need a black alpha added to work correctly for the 3D model if done for the 2D.

Hello Mate :hello:

Well.. as the old saying goes.. no gain without pain  I don't think the models I've advertised are the first ones for FS9.. they did have a VC option so there are a gallon of paints for them. Obviously they're not the latest version so if DM changed the mapping on the later models significantly, there could be issues using the latest paints.

Yo :hello:

I don't think there was a mapping change or at least nothing significant.

But as I mentioned, the night textures need to have an all black alpha to make them work properly.

It's to do with the cabin lights, in the nigh map format the alpha acts as a switch

All 112 One Eleven paints I did were without the alpha  as they predate the VC version.
