Autopilot for Dart Herald?

Post by aeroart »

Hello,

Have any of you added an autopilot to CBFS' Dart Herald? If so, which one did you use?

I tried the default Lear A/P, and it didn't work too well. I'd appreciate knowing what you did.

Thanks.

I find the one it is supplied with more than sufficient, rather basic but gets the job done.

TBH for less complex aircraft I just use keystrokes I've assigned to engage the autopilot, Alt Hold, HDG and NAV. I've found this works in the vast majority of aircraft I have in my hangar. Not very immersive or realistic, but it gets the job done!

It looks like no other Art so not surprised it wasn't obvious. Reading the manual might have given a clue though :wasntme:

Just a note on realism...whatever that means :worried:

The Herald did not have an autopilot as standard.

Some were retrofitted, don't know how many were fitted at build as an optional extra, but the British ones I know about were not supplied with AP.
