Hakaulau_Bridge-HD...

Post by petermcleland »

I kept this one very short, at less than two minutes, in the hope that more people will watch it to the end :)

This video should be viewed with the Quality clicked up to 1080p and the Full Screen icon at bottom right corner clicked.

Thanks for looking :fly:

Hi Folks

Pete, you make it look too easy.

Have you filmed any of those aerocaches - at the bottom of gorges, or Keyhole, or Honopu Beach ?
Or the Waipio Valley Challenge course ?
If so I'd love to see them.

It is worth watching the play of Sunlight on the aeroplane in this video...You will note that at each pass under the bridge the shadow of the bridge passes across the aeroplane. Not something unique in P3D version 2

LOL

From viewing your Air Day Practice video and similar screenies, (a long time ago),
guesssed you might appreciate & enjoy the Waipio Valley Challenge.

Managed to complete it successfully,
but don't have your aerobatic skills to rack up a serious score,
(and not helped by flying mouse-as-yoke mode, following joystick throttle failure).

Had a hoot one afternoon during beta,
flying the Stearman in heavy weather, (60kt gusts),
when Hawaiian dusk crept up on me.

Thought for a change I'd refly WVC.

On launching, was surprised to find myself still in the Stearman/ToD/weather,
(all my previous attempts had been in the Icon A5 in fair weather).

WVC uses whatever aircraft/ToD/weather settings you've applied,
(dev-team had kept quiet about that).

Try WVC as a night-flight. :hide:

Paul,

I have to say that I'm not a great fan of the Stearman...Don't know why but I just can't get to really like it. I love the Icon with its ability to land on water and it has become my favourite aeroplane but i have given up using it for the high altitude flights...i now use the RV-6A for anything up at the craters. I also greatly enjoy the aerobatic powers of the RV with its negative G fuel system. I really should have used the RV for some of those difficult Valley Challenge flights instead of the Icon.

Thanks for looking at My Channel :)
