Spitfire 944

Post by mgchristy »

A friend emailed me this video recently. This is a great little film of a young man finding some 16mm film his grandfather shot while a flight surgeon in England during WWII. The grandson tracks down one of the pilots his grandfather filmed, an American who flew a photo recon Spitfire. The pilot's recollections of the Spitfire and missions over Berlin and very moving. Another tribute to a generation that is sadly fading away with every passing day.
