I tested Flying School a few years back, but wasn't sufficiently taken with it to buy it. The latest, Flying School Pro is now on offer for a week (until 11th) at JF for £6.49 for the P3D version, which I have shelled out for.
Mind you, the receipt doesn't mention P3D and I'm wondering just what the difference to the FSX version will be? Still, I will only be using it in P3D, so it's of no matter. The FSX/FS9 version is reduced to £12.49

The thing I like, from the vids available, is that you can use it with any aircraft, though it is especially thorough in the C172, and it seems to include actually going through checklists. Not as checklists, but just sort of reminding you to press this and click that. This is what swayed me to buying it - I don't like these ones where you just do your thing and get some comments along the way, followed by a score.
Of course, the voice does sound a little robotic/commercial telephone menu voice recognition type of pronunciation, but it didn't seem too bad in the videos.
In any case - if it turns out not to be something I'll use, it only cost me £3.79 - so worth a punt, I reckon.
