Fine Pitch Circuit test button, Viscount 701

Post by Anders Samuelsson »

Hi,

A small question, I cannot find the fine pitch circuit test switches on the model for the 701 Viscount, any idea where it is? Thanks in advance!

Hi Anders, :)

I haven't done a dedicated V701 panel, but my panel which represents the early or non Americanised 700s has a switch in the centre of the coaming panel and associated dual filament amber warning lamp labelled PROP LOCK TEST. The switch is centre sprung and is held up for -ve test and down for +ve test. The lamp lights if a fault exists. There is a similar arrangement on the Americanised panel on the captain's side of the coaming. Hope this helps. ;)

cheers

Fraser
