Today, with the aid of ground support equipment from Virgin Atlantic Airways & British Airways, we fired up the Conway's

in a demonstration for the Brooklands Museum trustees and their parliamentary guests. The run lasted several minutes and all the flying controls were functioned successfully through their full range.
Later we started two engines and rolled her forward a few yards to rotate the tyres. We would have taken her down the runway but McLaren had it booked for sports car testing

. It took a fair bit of power to get her out of the tyre flat spot, but once out of the flat spot not much power was required to get her to move from a dead stop.
All that remains now is to get the APU to work.

If God had meant us to fly, he would have given us tickets.
