Just to let those that care know, and warn those that don't - the early release 'alpha' of DayZ has been released at BI Studios and Steam.

Twenty Quid, 24 Euros or $30 for the standard game.

Buy it for your grown-up (physically if not psychologically) children (or Grandad) for Christmas. Just don't expect to see them much on Boxing Day, and know why the internet has suddenly become that little bit slower.

One scene in the trailer reminded me of the suicide squad in "Carry On Up The Khyber."
Our 8 y/o grandson plays Plants v Zombies, but was too frightened to look at his mum when she dressed as a zombie for a 31/10 fundraiser parade.
I think I won't show him this one!
