Thanks for the video links .’’Kitty’’ Katie MacPherson[ lady in red coat ] was manager there even into the ‘70s , and was quite famous within BEA . She retired when BA withdrew the service and transferred to Loganair the next day, finally retiring in 1980. It was said that Barra was the only station where the manager bred his own staff. John MacPherson was the 1st manager when air services commenced in 1936 ,and was succeeded by his son and then daughter Katie .

Early a/c to use Tra’igh Mho’r were Short Scion , DH Dragons , Sparton Cruisers , And DH Rapides ‘til ’55 when Herons started , Skyvans [ Skyliner version ] 73’-74’ , Trislanders , Islanders , and until the present Twotters ; with a short unsuccessful interlude in ’94 of Shorts 360s.
