I'd like to put in a request to Rick. I am a great fan of your aircraft, they are most often the ones I fly in FSX, including your payware Hawk.
Most time is spent in the beloved Chipmunk. WK591 was the aircraft that introduced me to flight in the ATC back in the early 70s. However, I have now lived in Canada for 25 years and have also flown the Bubble canopy version. While I enjoy the most recent British version of the Chippy in FSX, it has always saddened me that the bubble canopy was not ported over or re-developed for FSX in that v3.0 release. The old fs2004 version will not show the VC no matter what I try.
Is there any chance you could put that task on your design schedule Rick? A version 4.0 Chippy maybe?
Best Regards from Canada.

Re: Bubble cockpit Chipmunk for FSX please
Hi Ken and Welcome
Now.. that name rings a bell to me. There aren't too many Kenneth J Kerr's I know of associated with FS so if I said VIP.. would I be close
I wouldn't want to pre-empt Rick but I can say that he's not been near FS for ages.. perhaps a couple of years now. He still keeps in touch here and still keeps his finger on the pulse to some degree so he may well answer this himself.
I'm sure there was a bubble canopy Chippie and one with floats for the crazy Canucks (leave anything still for long enough and they'll have floats on it!
) but they were never released. I've never had a copy of either and I don't think any of the 'team' here have.
Safest thing to say is 'never say never'

Hi Dave.
Yes, you are right with The VIP Group, just cannot believe it has been so long ago since those days of The Classic Wings series of CDs. I am long past being commercial in FS, but I'm still a total flightsim nut! You can see what I mean at a site I put up, www.fsxscreenshots.com.. And check out the simpit I built for the Chipmunk a few years back (now dismantled after a house move).
Hope we find a solution to a bubble Chippy to v3 standards! And yes, the Canadians (should say WE Canadians since I have both British and Canadian passports) love their floats, but since it was minus 50 degrees celcius here a week back, not much flying let along floating!
Thanks for remembering VIP. Most simmers don't even know it ever existed now.
