This happened back in November, but i missed it. ZAPK has gone as has the last Titan 146.

Sad but one has to remember these aircraft are 25 years old now. They were the bee's knees when I was a child, but there's newer, quieter and much more fuel efficient engines around now. One has to remember the HS146 was on the drawing boards circa 1973/74 and the core of the engine goes back to the late 60s in the Chinook.
At some point this year I will have to book Swiss from ZRH to LCY as it might be my last opportunity to fly in the Avro RJ, if (and it's a big if!) Bombardier deliver the C-Series to Lufthansa group on schedule.

I'll probably be flying Dublin-London City some time in the spring, but with CityJet up for sale, perhaps the RJ85 fleet's days are numbered too.

True, but just think, the core of the Trent goes back to the RB211 of ( eventually ) 1971 !
