Hello,

I just wanted to try my hands on the Handley Page Herald, is there a chance I could do the training flights, I am at EGJJ as we speak :D

Thanks in advance!

Hi Andy :)

I've not checked your logbook over at FSA so I don't know how many flights you've done in the DC10-30. The reason I mention this is that we have a rule (which may be unwritten.. I'll have to check that too) whereby pilots who gain a new rating are expected to do a further 8 revenue flights on the type before requesting a new type. I don't know if the 'rules' are in need of a review *-)

I'll allocate a TR for the Herald anyway ;)

Ah, Oh I didn't know that, good too know :) I'll focus a bit on the DC10 and Herald after I'm done with the TR for the Herald. :)

Hi Andy :)

I've just read through the training notes and can't find reference to it so it must have 'slipped through'. The actual figure decided on was 10 further revenue flights after gaining a rating and pilots were informed of this either before a TR was given or after a rating was gained. The reason it was implemented was that we had a spate of pilots gaining ratings and doing no revenue flights before requesting another TR.. some pilots of the day did this a LOT of times! Implementing this rule went some way to ensuring that pilots were 'serious' about wanting to fly a particular type rather than serious about wanting to get as many aircraft in their logbooks as possible ;)

The four flight for the Handley Page Herald are completed without any problems. Now I'm going to focus on some HP7 and DC10 flights
