Good stuff

And now the new Formula E is going to be shown live on FTA in the UK - by ITV4:

Don't know what it will be like, but interest is growing, so it'll be worth looking into.

Well the Moto GP race has just finished. No spoilers from me but it's well worth watching.

The mystery of how Cielo, a small channel, gets to show the races might have been solved. Through the whole of the transmission of the three races we got bombarded with adverts saying that the next four weekends would only be live on Sky and that there is a discount for Cielo viewers who sign up now. Plus the channel interviews were done using microphones that had Sky Sport HD printed on them and one of the race commentators was Loris Capirossi who also featured in the Sky adverts. *-)

I should have twigged earlier as cielo is of course the Italian for sky. 8)

The two opinionistas in the studio have sixteen world titles between them. Marco Lucchinelli won one and Ago the other fifteen.

Those MotoGP fans amongst you - don't miss the highlights tonight, even if you record it and watch it tomorrow (it's at 20:00hrs on ITV4) - it was an absolutely cracking race.
Normally I don't bother with the season opener at Qatar, as it's usually pretty boring and has little effect on the season as a whole - but yesterday's race was very exciting.

I also got some info from crash.net on a website showing the races:
Just go to www.vipboxuk.co (yes, just co) it's free and they show all the practices, qualifying and races too.
Don't download anything - I've heard these sites are full of spyware and the like, though that might be scaremongering, but best to be vigilant. ;)

Looks like it's going to be a cracking season.

Well i waited to see the repeat of the Moto GP race and after watching it tonite on ITV4 it was a great race for the start of the season but it was more like Keith Huewen racing, ok it's all new now with BT but poor old Julian Ryder could hardly get a word in,

After 14 years of watching every race i will not be watching anymore, i am just glad i did'nt pay £12 a month!!

Roger.

Yup.. a good race (races as they showed GP2 and GP3 too) but I agree that the commentary was lacking somewhat 8) Still.. it was better than not seeing it at all ;)

That's true, Dave. So chuffed I took the time to sort that satellite dish! :)

Mind you, if you think the English commentary is dire, you ought to hear the German one - believe me, it's far worse! :agree:
