It is a good shape but like most modern kits not very accurate as no aeroplane ever built has panel lines like the oft portrayed nowadays.



I do wish kit manufacturers would get a grip on this and stop listening to modellers who think an panel line should be visible from a great distance.

Completely agree Garry.

I just don't understand the current obsession with overdone panel lines on models. Even when the shape of the airplane is as wrong as these examples, there are those that simply compound the felony. Even as a feckless youth I would never of dreamed of making a model that was so horribly unrealistic.

Well, yes in 1/144 scale, detail doesn't need to be as heavy as on that Vulcan I suppose, but bear in mind that after 2 or 3 coats of paint, it will 'smooth' it down a bit.

The other thing is too much weathering in the panel lines, as on those pics in the links.

I think the worst ones though, are diecast models, some of which have gouges running along the fuselage!
