It's been dicey for it seems as long as I can remember.
However the RAF kept it going, but after they left a few attempts have been made to use it but they failed.
MK Cargo Airlines and EUJet are just 2 that immediatley come to mind.
Historically there was Invicta and Air ferry, very successful for their time.
You'd think a large airport in the SE with a very wide runway for safe emergency landings would bee seen as a must preserve asset.

Can you believe a Nuclear Power station down the coast from the airport and they say it's not a problem, Bloody hell it's enough to make you weep!
