Gents , a two fold topic . Firstly i'm sure many will have seen this before ; but I think it's worth repeating ................

Secondly I'd like to echo the '' skipper '' and raise a glass to the memory of our Speedbird , Ian Middleton . Who first let us know of his bad news about a year go , and I'm sure would chuckle at this .
Cheers ,

Re: More Yarkshire and Speedbird memory
Thank you, Dave.
I was just speaking to a friend about Ian today and how much I miss him.
His passing is a great loss to so many...
well. ... He did say not to get down about his passing.
The video helps..
Love the pilot... right.

Re: More Yarkshire and Speedbird memory
This is spooky - over coffee this morning, Mrs Airspeed asked: "Has anybody been writing about that poor Ian?"
I said: "Not that I've seen, what can you say about a man who's not coming back?"
Now I read the above.
He's never forgotten in this house, either, I promise you.

I'm quite sure Ian will never be forgotten by any of us.

Indeed, I was just looking at his watch the other day, top chap.

Re: More Yarkshire and Speedbird memory
I still miss Ian - I never met him, but liked him immensely, as we all did. I couldn't find the right words when he revealed he was terminally ill, and then his passing knocked me sideways a bit. I still sometimes read through his PMs and enjoy the wry humour as well as the info and advice. Still think about Leif too. God bless them both.
Re: More Yarkshire and Speedbird memory
Haven't watched the video yet but I will do soon. However, like so many others here, I do miss Ian's presence. I feel a bit of a light went out on this forum with his passing. It is a mark of the man to have made such a positive impression on so many people that never met him. Sleep well Ian

It's still hard to imagine he's really gone...never met him, but it is as if I've always known him.
