add on AI traffic

Post by 233SQN »

I’ve never dabbled with add on AI so I’m a complete novice and have no idea if I’m asking for something simple or ridiculous.

Are there any freeware or payware packages that would add some suitably small and vintage (no real preference but not big jets on transatlantic crossings, more like Chippies and the like doing circuits etc)??

If so please can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Thanks

Have a look for AIFP Colin. It works in a similar fashion to TTools but is more user friendly (even though I never got the hang of it). It has the ability to convert old FS9 traffic files into FSX format too ;)

Colin,
do a search at allnodes (http://www.flightsim.com) for "duxford young" where you'll find several packages of AI aircraft and scenery for both FS9 and FSX by John Young. Alternatively just searching for his name will show a lot more packages of both AI aircraft and scenery.

Hope that's the sort of thing you are looking for ...

Could well do for hosting? T'was just a means of informing what AI was available really.

Thanks for the steer, looks ideal.

I downloaded the whole Duxford package but it won't complete the install, not sure why will have to have closer look. I seem to be haiving a lot of install problems of late!
Thanks

If it's Chipmunks you want - search for Mike Cronin - he did a low poly model version for FS9 that works in FSX.Their are repaints on Avsim, search for Ray Blake he has repainted just about every flying Chipmunk in the UK! Can remember trying to create a virtual 'Chipfest' with it at an airfield - think their was about 50 plus or so different Chipmunks.

Would also recomend AIFP - increadbly easy to creat AI fightplans with this.
