Our First Atlantic Tropical Storm: Arthur. Update

Post by airboatr »

The wave formed Saturday spinning off squalls that came in like a wall.
It stripped the nearly ripened (snif :( ) mangos from the tree and knocked the service wire down to the neighbors house.
One pole of the service found the support cable for the phone box and put on a little show.

I do love a good arch flash :OB:

'Arthur' sound like someone who's coming round to fix things, not break them.

I just thought I'd mention, If I seam a little grumpy over the next few months, it's because my Chutney supply has been cut in half by the storm.

Hi Joe,
Amazed that people are allowed to grow anything on power poles.
The electricity retailers here cut back anything within cooee of their poles and wires.

Oh, nearly forgot, Happy Underpants Day. :)

EDIT For some odd reason, though it's still 23:15 4th July, the post has been timestamped 0:15 5th July :dunno:
Cheers, Mike.

Mock??.. hell no :( I'm a raspberry jam doughnut man myself and looked forward to buying some from out store when I left work yesterday. You can imagine my horror when I checked my bag for my wallet only to find I'd left it at home :| I was considerably grumpy  Made certain I had it with me before going today
