Farnborough Pic

Post by TSR2 »

Hi Chaps,

Spotted this article on auntie Beeb tonight with a picture of an early RAIT. Lots of interesting types in the pic, but does anyone know what the aircraft is front left. Looks like its white with the "Prototype P" marking.

Cheers,

Ben.

Garry I don't know if you remember but we did talk about that plane during one of our conversations.
?

Mike, you're 12 hours ahead of me..!
You could have beaten me to it.

I take it you're busy working on the honey do list.

I'm old enough to remember seeing the AW52 at that airshow in '48! In those days one could climb on the blister hangar to get a better view. The noise of those engines - a high pitched whistle - was very evident.
Thanks for the reminder.
