Another Malaysia airlines a/c down...

Post by TobyV »

Early reports suggesting it may have been shot down accidentally due to the fighting in the Ukraine:

Hi Toby.

interesting it was another 777

I'm sickened by the display of callousness. At 33,000 I would think there was some knowledge of the planes identity ?

Flightradar24 seems to be down at the moment, probably too many people trying to get on. The above link shows a screenshot of the last reported position.

Pretty shocking :((

I was just reminded today is an anniversary date of flight 800.
No correlation of course.
Just ... what are the odds?

It's running continuously on the news here. The flight left from Amsterdam for Kuala Lumpur and there appear to be several Dutch passengers on board (the flight was a code-share between Malaysia and KLM) but also US, Belgian and probably many other nationalities.

Very sad.
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

Tragic.Obviously too early to allocate blame yet,but what is certain is that there will be a lot a arse covering and buck passing going on.I suppose there is also the possibility of another party causing the aircraft to go down in that area in order to hide their own culpability.EricT

Shot down it's being said...What on earth is this supposed to achieve??

23 Americans on board, surely that will have reprocusions.
