Shame about the weather but it's nice to know she is down,
Well done to the crew,

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
Re: Canadian Lancaster
Well, she bypassed Lincoln, and went straight in at RAF Coningsby. No messing about. Could have been due to the adverse weather conditions.

That kept me quiet for a few hours, and out from under SWMBO feet. Also helped me on my way to 500 posts.

Re: Canadian Lancaster
Saw her on approach, 27, past the castle from upstairs window, just after the weather cleared.

I was wondering if you could see her Tom. No doubt you'll be seeing much more before she leaves.
Re: Canadian Lancaster
Many thanks Chris for that Iplayer link. A very good report which showed lots of public interest in Lincoln, RAF Coningsby and the surrounding area.
Re: Canadian Lancaster
Found this over at SOH. Some great shots from RAF Coningsby.

Mother of all thunderstorms over Cranwell and Waddington! She did well to push to Lincolnshire - the rumoured diversion to Teeside didn't sound unreasonable and would have been quite poetic and emotive!511Flyer wrote:Well, she bypassed Lincoln, and went straight in at RAF Coningsby.
