BBC2 Scotland Votes

Post by dodger »

Hi All,

I watched this program which was on at 2130 on Tuesday 12th August,

Not really taken much notice to be honest regarding this vote in Scotland as it will not effect me but found this program very interesting regarding the military aspect of what they are saying if Scotland does vote Yes,

So if you are interested have a look on the BBC I Player if you missed it,

Cheers,

Roger.

Lots of views without a response is not unusual

I saw it (torrent :hide: ) as a semi-expat Scot with English income, I have interests to worry about. Quite a good program but they spent too long on the military implications imho and made no mention whatsoever on the Eu attitude, nothing on the currency implications and zip on the Monarchy. Too much concern over what the USA thinks. Mrs said they should not try and threaten the Scots, that just gets their backs up and make them bloody minded.

As an aside, Obama said "the UK is one of our best allies". Remember the time when it was THE best ally, never mind being one of them.

I liked that in the lift, very funny,

From someone who for many years in the early 1970's trucking Ambrosia Rice every week from Devon to Scotland it was that accent "See you Jimmy" that i heard quite a lot ;)

:OT:

It's a shame they don't show Rab C Nesbit on the tele again trouble was the wife could never understand much of the
glaswegian accent!

Hi Roger, I didn't watch this because as we have been bombarded with tv coverage on this issue for the past few years,I am suffering from referendum info overload! The whole issue is driving a wedge between friends and families.Anyway nothing is going to persuade me to change my voting intentions.
We'll just be glad when the thing is over, hopefully with the result of retaining the union. Not sure what to do in the event of a yes vote. *-) EricT

Well Eric would it make any difference to you if it was a yes vote?

Living down here in the SE i have only seen bits and pieces about this so you don't realize just how it could upset people with different views on the subject, it not so easy as it sounds is it!

Cheers,

Roger.
