At least you can hand it back when you get fed up with it!!!!
It will however be just as expensive as the parent was at that age, if not more so!
Still no news?

As of this moment.. the news I have is that her contractions are a minute apart. I'd say we'll have a rug-rat by tea time  We already know it's going to be a girl.. there are known problems on the wifes side carrying boys so tests were done to remove the worry.
The phone has gone while I've been typing this and it seems the babies heart rate is dropping every time there's a contraction :-O They've given her an epidural but I fear if this goes much longer.. she may have a C section :( I know she didn't want this to happen but needs must. As long as it pop's out with everything working and all bits where they should be.. that'll do ;)

Sitrep..

It did go to a C section unfortunately. There were initial concerns about the daughter but these have been just been belayed. The tiddler is fine though.. a tichy 5lb 14oz and not a red hair in sight  I've just learned they plan to name her either Evelyn or Amy.. gad knows where they've come from :-O At least it's not Kylie

Congratulations Dave, and to all your family, and to little Amy / Evelyn. Two very fine names there, Dave...Amy Johnson and Evelyn Glennie- inspirational women, both of them. Yes, its not Kylie...or Shannon, or Britney, or gawd help us, Jordan.

Congratulations to all Dave. The new arrival may be somewhat gravitationally challenged, but I wouldn't worry too much about that. As long as she is healthy now I'm sure she'll be fine.
Our own ( and only) offspring was a very much overdue and underweight arrival, who then continued to worry mum and dad to distraction, due to her total lack of appetite.
However, things eventually improved and now our daughter is a slim, fit and very active individual who loves food , is the wrong side of 40 who we love to bits and of whom we are very proud. EricT
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!

Thanks for that Eric ;)

The baby (I still don't know what to call her) is by circumstance, quite early due to mum's high blood pressure though how much more she'd have grown in the week or so extra she might have had is probably negligible. I gather she has a fair pair of lungs.. reminds me of the Wren.. how can something so small make such a racket! .. and is after feeding so we've no worries on that front :) Helen's BP is falling though still not quick enough so she's been given BP tablets to level her off. Fingers crossed they'll both be out of hospital on Friday ;) I've pictures sent to my phone via Whatsapp though I've no idea how to get them from there to anywhere useful :wall:
