A Lovely Film

Post by dodger »

Hi Chaps,

I saw this when it first came out on the BBC and came across it on Youtube ,

It bought a tear to my eye [silly old bugger] ;)

Enjoy

Roger.

A splendid film, beautifully put together. I particularly enjoyed the footage of the Manchester . I was a little surprised however at the engineering manager who said that the problem was lack of power. The father of a friend of mine who flew both Manchester and then Lancaster said there was nothing wrong with the performance of the Manchester provided two donkeys kept working, but sadly, quite a lot of the time they didn't and if you lost one on takeoff you were really in the mire because the net thrust line on each wing was a good deal further out than the Lanc on 3 engines
