How true, but...
I think the male singer with the grey jacket beat you to her, Brian.
See how he eyeballs her just as he starts up behind her, and it makes her turn around.
Cheers, Mike.

Betcha don't get that at Lidl :)

Not a great opera lover but by god it would brighten up a boring trip to the supermarket. :welldone:

That would be the same reason I never ever sing Happy Birthday to anyone.

It immediately ensures that it's not! :-# :-# :-#
It's not a 'bird', it's an aeroplane or an aircraft

Hi Mike,

The one in your link is on Etna in Sicily not Vesuvius near Naples. I've done some checking and the funicular railway up Vesuvius wasn't rebuilt. Instead in was replaced with a chair lift.

Here's a video of the ascent of Vesuvius, the first part is normal railway then the funicular railway which first opened in 1880. http://youtu.be/zF8pFt8YBW8

Hi Jon, ;)
Yes, realised that, just a light note that there are plenty more where that came from. There are dozens listed around the world, funicular relating to the means of power, being a fixed engine dragging a cable. I was surprised to see that this actually includes chairlifts, on account of that propulsion method.
Cheers, Mike.
