A long FLIGHT...

Post by petermcleland »

I did a long flight yesterday from Honolulu to Yakutat...2421nms, in my trusty little RV-6A. Naturally I had to do four InFlight refuels and it took 15 hours on a Great Circle route. I enjoyed the navigational challenge but will make it more difficult on the return by putting in some wind and weather!...Joe, if you want any details of how to do it, let me know :agree:

Hello Peter

Wow,all that way with no autopilot.... I'd have fallen.asleep ! ..
The hour we spend online together wears me out sufficiently.

I tip my hat to you Peter.

Just a catch~up.
Missed you over the holiday .. busy with projects.
I'm layed up with a serious insect bite the last few days and the next few I'm sure..
Check this out. :worried:

Unfortunately it did it's dastardly deed under cover of night, but when I get my electrified insect swatter on anything remotely suspect..
Interestingly enough there isn't a specific bite mark. So there goes any incriminating dental identification.

One thing for sure. It's pretty sensitive. More so when I walk.

I'm thinking I might go to a hospital. I hate hospital. :|
