Sad indeed, Kevin,
They're dropping like flies. Crikey, who's next?
I liked to listen, but was never happy about his physical performance, verging on a parody of spastic.
Cheers, Mike.

Saw that, mate. He had a voice that only he could have.
Always liked "Ain't No Sunshine"

Another star gone. RIP Joe. I always liked his soulfull rendition of "With A Little Help From My Friends", used as the theme song for The Wonder Years, a great show.

Yes, me too, Nigel. If you want to hear the definitive version of any Beatles' song, you simply go to the Beatles own recording and there it is. With just one exception - Joe Cocker's "With A Little Help From My Friends".

I was fortunate enough to see JC perform this at the Sheffield Arena some years ago. We were under the impression it was an Eric Clapton concert (my sisters mis-information again!!) until we got there and saw folk walking around with JC and ZZ Top T-shirts. It was actually a concert in aid of drug rehabilitation.. Sharp I think!!

RIP Joe

TBH Joe.. I can't remember. :( Joe Cocker singing 'with a little help from my friends' stands out as particularly memorable as does ZZ Top performing Sharp Dressed Man.. quite outstanding

You couldn't drag me to a concert these days.
I just can not suffer loud music.

I've become my old man. ...... which is not so bad. :) ;)

It comes to us all Joe ;) I actually need music to be loud (anything for that matter) having a perforated left ear drum and a 'fixed' (cough) perforated right ear drum so what is audible to me can sometimes be OTT for those with normal hearing. Likewise, what is audible to those with normal hearing will often pass me by depending on the frequency. That's by the by ;)
I think Snow Patrol were on the same bill too though I can't remember what they did. :dunno:

Anyhoo.. it was a good gig despite the Sheffield Arena not producing the best sound quality (my hearing was much better then too) ;)
