I think there'll be a lot more space in the Flightstore warehouse now we've raided it

Quite good in FS2004, had a fly round the Scottish Isles and it looked a great rendition of the coast line etc. Sadly I only had a short time as as usual FS9 gave me trouble....
I have been getting stuttering sound and frame rates now and then, my old creative card doesn't like Win 7 so I used the on-board one which works a treat but I had to set up that bloody Saitek kit again, yuk I hate that crappy software.... All ok just reverse thrust wouldn't slow down my pushbike....

Re: Flightstore MEGA Clearance on UK VFR scenery
I've not tried FS9 on my Win7 pc but I really need it on there. My WinXP pc I use for beta testing is starting to 'buck' a little and it's a pain in the proverbial to even start. Glad you're happy with how yours is running now
All my stuff arrived today.. while I was at work!! I left the porch open with a note for the postie to put any packages inside then put my note in the porch too and he did. Not installed anything yet though.
It certainly confused the wife. She came from work and tried to unlock the porch door and couldn't. Confused.. she locked it then couldn't get in

I received dispatch e-mail yesterday saying: "unable to dispatch, Fedex will not deliver to a P/O box".
Another day wasted, told them to remove the P/O and all will be fine!.
Yes Dave, I think their shelves are much lighter now.

Re: Flightstore MEGA Clearance on UK VFR scenery
Like some others here, I bought some GenX UK regions and matching Treescapes products in the sale. I've just seen a comment at SoH that says there may be a problem activating some or all of these products after the end of this month (that is, after this Sunday - the first of February) because of the closure of the Earth Simulations website(s). The suggestion is to make an ES pack which would, presumably, allow any subsequent (re)installation in the future without a need for an on-line connection for (re)activation.
Please can someone confirm whether these comments are true and, if so, advise how to produce one of these ES packs, since the closure of the only ES website for which I have a link seems to have taken away the necessary instructions for this process.
Thanks in advance for any input and help,
regs,
Ro

I commented on this as soon as ES said they were closing but it wasn't picked up on. You can, as far as I can see, instruct the ESI to install to any given directory (or DVD) and use this to install. Thing is.. even with a pack.. ESI will check the server for updates. What will happen if it can't connect I really don't know
I have pack versions of the IoM, Alderney and Guernsey which aren't currently installed and I don't really have time to try at the moment

Re: Flightstore MEGA Clearance on UK VFR scenery
Evenin' All,
I realise that it is not the end of January until tomorrow, but:
Thought I'd try loading a Treescapes disc that I bought last year without the matching scenery.
It fired up the ESI system as usual, and made me wait while it "contacted" ES.
I thought all was lost, as it looped back to the start 3 times.
I find the S/N very hard to follow, might have confused 0 and O. It didn't say invalid or anything, just restarted.
On that 3rd try, it unlocked the file and said it was ready to install.
Currently it is installing, at snail's pace, and has another 11 minutes to go.
Fingers crossed..........it finished - 36 minutes, now it tells me I have installed Treescapes Vol2 AND downloaded the same.
It'll be February before the ordered discs arrive, so I hope they will install the same.
Once or twice, I got the message that they had ceased trading, btw.

I think the proof of the pudding will be when ES close their server down. Until then.. all should work as normal.. well, as normal as ESI is
