Classic Airliners -Trident
Just a heads up, whilst killing off some time in a supermarket I wondered across to the magazine display stand and came across Classic Airliner featuring the Hawker Siddeley Trident.
Considering that one can obtain plenty of material through the internet I thought that the price of £7.95 a bit steep but having said that, there is plenty of information in it including a photograph of the chinese yoke version (spectacle type) as apposed to the standard one that no doubt Peter M preferred?
Nigel.

The Trident and Concorde Yokes were called "Rams Horn" and yes I did prefer it...Can't imagine what the Chinese had against it!Nigel H-J wrote:Just a heads up, whilst killing off some time in a supermarket I wondered across to the magazine display stand and came across Classic Airliner featuring the Hawker Siddeley Trident.

Would you recommend that magazine Nigel? Was it just about the Trident or just one article in it?

Re: Classic Airliners -Trident
Just in my local Sainsburys and it looks like an excellent publication. Given this type of thing is few and far between, and its all about the trident, I'm really impressed with some of the photographs, most I've never seen before.
Ben.

Thanks Ben,
I was at my local Sainsburys this morning but I think I'll go back now and see if they have it.
Drat!...No they don't stock it!...I'll see if I can get it online.
Yep!...Ordered it online

Apparently the yoke change out was made because ram horn wasn't what Boeing was putting in their planes.

Coincidentally I've literally just this moment come home after buying it! The price is steep, and I did dither for a bit in WH Smith, but managed to sneak it past the missus without her noticing so who cares!

I saw it in my store (Sainsburys) the other day and had a flip through as you do. Didn't realise it was over £7 though
