Re: This is tempting...
Will they let you pay cash for it, Peter?
Looks like they're more interested in making their profit from loan charges.
Oh, and don't you have one of these built into your latest watch?

Re: This is tempting...
No my watch does not run FS but it does have a circular slide rule exactly like my old RAF MK 4A and I use it a lot in FLIGHT, mainly to compute my ETA.
I have always used Chillblast for components when building my computers but the idea of a super powerful Laptop to run FS only is very attractive and I could keep my existing desktop computer just as it is to run all the other stuff
BTW...I have been wearing my Red Arrows watch for one year now and there is something very nice when listening to the radio six pips and watching the sweep second hand tick exactly into the centre of the minute hand on the hour at the sixth pip!
My old watch has been sleeping in the dark for the year as well and I got it out of its box the other day and noted the hands all stationary on the twelve (Full Power Down Condition). After a couple of seconds the hands sprung to life and whizzed round to the correct time position within about a minute. I put it on the window sill to get a day of Sun before putting it back to sleep in the dark
