Nice find, Toby!
BTW, in pic 2/24, the front of the Bedford truck is stencilled "PRESSURISED"
Is that a joke by some wag, or could there possibly be a pressurised cooling device?

Re: Excellent RAF Cold war era photos
I enjoyed those Toby as they were in my era...I got my wings at RAF Feltwell which in 1951 was No.3 FTS (Flying Training School). All my "Battle Flights" though, were in 2nd ATAF (Allied Tactical Air Force) in Germany. That is about the only place you would have seen Venoms.

Re: Excellent RAF Cold war era photos
I recently made this composite picture to illustrate a point for a friend. First two pics are from around 1966 and 1972 respectively, the others are of course more recent.

Great photos, Toby. One thing that struck me - the photo of the Valiant of 49 Sqdn, saying that the Valiant was the first British aircraft to drop an atomic bomb. Am I right in saying the Valiant is the only British type to drop an atomic bomb ?
