Think that drawing comes from the book "Behind the cockpit door". The drawings are by the author, one of which is a frightening Tiger Moth crash and another a BEA Ambassador "temporarily unsure of my position" with the whole crew in the cockpit trying to identify a recognisable landmark in low ceiling bad weather! It is a very good read - watch out for Indian bathers and gold smuggling!
There's a copy of that same cartoon in the Viking at Brooklands (or was.. not been inside it for ages). For sure.. the spar is a chunky bit of metal to climb over. H&S probably wouldn't allow it in this day and age

I'm pretty sure that the photo linked to above shows the framed print in the Viking at Brooklands. I can tell you where that came from as I copied and enlarged it from my copy of 'Behind the Cockpit Door' back in 1999. I had heard the story often enough from the then Viking team leader and gave him the copy, he subsequently had it framed and put in the aircraft.
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.
