Scotland Scenery VFR?

Post by DogTailRed2 »

So now that Horizon is no more what are my options to fill in the gaps around Scotland?
Is there any chance another company will pick up the baton and start prodcuing the final scenery areas?

As far as I am aware, England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland is complete and is available at:

Thanks for the info. I'll look to fill in the gaps.
It would appear we are still missing the middle of Scotland? Or do North and South Scotland overlap?

A second question. Is there an alternative to tree scapes. I seem to recall another product which adds trees to the UK but the name escapes me?
- belay that second question. I just found the thread relating to Treescapes :-)

You'll be needing Vol7; "Scotland Central"

I'm not sure that volume 7 was ever published. I created the vector files for it but I don't have the release DVDs.

Try asking on the forum:

Vol#7 was published George.. I have it here. However.. I'm not sure Treescapes for it was ever released. I have one area in Scotland that doesn't have trees and that may well be it *-)

Rgr that George ;)

Believe it or not.. I don't have Scotland installed because of that. I have part 4 installed and that has about 8 trees  but none of the others. I'm now at a point where I don't have enough HD space for them either 8) :wall:

G'day Colin,
As you've seen by now, it was released, and I would have sworn it was on the page which Dave linked.....but it's not there now!
Looks like we may have to buy a used copy; Playsim's own site says "Coming soon"
The other Scottish titles I did buy, and they are good.
Searching on-line doesn't bring up much, a review and discussions, but very little for sale. There were a couple of offers, but nearly 30 quid. :-O
If I find a reasonable price, I'll be on to it. And I might even let you know about it. :worried:
