For anyone of a similar age to me, then John Noakes must be a childhood hero (you may need to be British to understand
).
Having heard nothing about him for many years, I was surprised to see the following headline on the BBC news website.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33331698
I'd just like to wish you well, John and hope you're OK.
Regards
Kevin

I saw that on one of the newspaper sites Kevin, and was similarly surprised and a little upset. He always seemed to be a nice bloke. I've been deperately trying to remember his catchphrase but can't get past 'Ow's about that, then". I'm not convinced it's his though.
Likewise with the good wishes John.

Paul, his catchphrase was 'Get down Shep' Glad he's been found safe.

I had not heard about John for years and sorry to hear about him now but nice to know he is with his wife,
I still remember him on Blue Peter with that London Zoo keeper and that Elephant
All the very best wishes,
Roger
