You get some of those in southern France, vinyards get destroyed & car repairers make lots of money taking out the dents & replacing windscreens!

In May 2009 we were at Spa in Belgium, and after lunch the sky went dark green ( no, it wasn't that good a lunch ) and we took refuge in a forest - not ideal in a violent thunderstorm but I felt it was the lesser of two evils - and we escaped the worst of this ( photographed about 45 minutes after it had fallen - and my wife does not have small hands . The stones had drilled holes the size of oranges through plastic chairs and tables etc . Curiously, about 35 years before we had an aeroplane ( Falco F8L ) which had to be reskinned after a similar encounter, in flight . Not an experience I would have relished

That's global warming for you.
Causes extremes they say.
Then others say it's rubbish.
Guess we'll find out some day.
Cheers, Mike.
Perspective determines interpretation.
