Seaweed? *-) maybe it's the towel used by the pilot after swimming out to board the aircraft?

No, they left the pitot and tat probes covers on.

(It's one of the types I have rating on )

Anybody else notice the total lack of waves, from anywhere on the aircraft, and the equal total lack of ripples from jetwake off the engines???
