Hi guys

Back home at last, until the next offshore jaunt anyway.

I can heartily recommend a week on board as a great way to lose a little weight, I'm 2 kilos lighter despite eating five times per day :excited: Just to spice things up we had a real smoke alarm and my return flight was delayed one day due to bad weather in Jacarepagua.

The flight back was on an AW139, and what a beautiful bird that is. Big windows, comfy seats and a lot quieter than the Sikorskys that I normally fly on (S76 and S92). It handled the bumps around Rio better than the A319 I came back to São Paulo on too.

I dunno Dave, I'm not far off 60 and my knees might not agree with you

I've got two more offshore runs pencilled in for this year, and probably a return to this one early in 2016. Maintenance trips are pretty easy I have to admit, but commissioning work, like this trip, involves heavy lifting and lots of pressure.

Still, I shouldn't complain, there is only one person in one company fully certified for this type of work in Brazil, so I do get a nice little bonus in my pay packet.
