Joe, is that the default 206 ? If so, you achieved a far better landing than I ever did with it. The Flysimware Bell 47 is the first helicopter I've ever managed to fly ( and land ) successfully; maybe they dumbed-down the flight model for the likes of me.

I'm starting to get add-on creep here. My intention was to keep P3Dv3 pure and clean, only adding new aircraft. Then I added FSUIPC, which was justifiable, but that was going to be it - no more. Now I'm thinking...well..got to have those Remote Flight apps running, so I'll need the server installed. But no new scenery - I'll stick with default. Well...okay, maybe FTX Global. And if I put Global in, I'll need Vector and the mesh that goes with it. But that's absolutely it !

Well, okay, maybe FTX UK and its airfields for VFR around these parts. And Port Moresby and Emerald's Solomons because that area of the world interests me. No more. umm...

Hi Paul,

The helicopter model is Eagle Rotorcrafts work. If you haven't got it, you can get it here - http://www.eaglerotorcraftsimulations.c ... ll206b.php

I have the DoDo Sim model as well. either or suits me fine. But the FSX default stays in the hanger, - because it's junk.

on a side note...Maybe someone should start up a FS Anonymous support group . :wasntme:

;)

MIke...its not funny, you know. Add-Onaholism is a recognised ( by me ) medical condition, and I shall be demanding free treatment on the NHS as per my human rights and stuff.

Joe, thanks but no, I won't be buying the Jetranger. I just wondered about it, since you fly it so well. I got the Bell 47 as that was the first helicopter I ever flew in, as a boy in Australia. I also bought the Aerosoft Huey when it first came out, but it now lies in my digital desert boneyard.

By me too but I think I may have found a cure. SWMBO has quit her job for another one and the initial shortfall in cash is some £600pm (or £7200pa) :-O I've not had the desire to buy anything for a few weeks now. Drastic measures I know but it does seem to have worked :|

Blimey mate, that's a bit of a drop in income. One will have to cut one's coat to suit one's cloth eh ? But fear not ! Christmas is on the horizon, and with it comes goodwill to all men, and flight sim sales ! :agree:

Yeah.. it's one of the few freeware helicopters I have. Comes with long legs.. short legs (where the UK reg paints reside) and floats :)

Paul.. I think there'll be slim pickings in the Christmas sales. I bought everything I didn't want in the last sale which leaves very little for me to aim at now  The only thing I'm vaguely looking forward too is the AH Dove/Devon. How bad can that be.. looking forward to an AH release :((

Don't worry Dave, you can always snaffle a few carrier bags & sell them down the market for 4p each. ;)
