If your interested in flavours and food I thoroughly recommend The Dorito Effect by Mark Schatzker. Here's a taster*. It's a bit American but there's some frightening stuff in there; "if humans grew as fast as broilers, a 6.6 lbs. (3kg) newborn baby would weigh 660 lbs. (300kg) after 2 months."
What it's about is the use of flavourings in our modern food - sausage and beer flavoured corn chips anyone?

*sorry, couldn't stop myself
It's not a 'bird', it's an aeroplane or an aircraft

I didn't
....
John? John who? Is that Crazy John's mobile phones? (They're probably multinational)
28gm for 25cents.....that translates to about $AU2.17 for a standard 175g bag.
Given that tiny bags cost more per gram, it looks like we're getting done again.
If we're "lucky", we may get ordinary crisps 2 for $5.00.

Paul,
Thanks for that.
The things you think, put down in print.
btw, OUR chooks are free-range, but not enough meat to make a meal.
