Saw it myself when out in the garden as it was making its' way to the new Bomber Command Memorial situated Canwick Hill.

First heard the unmistakable sounds of the Merlins and although my view initially was restricted due to the woods nearby I then saw her in full flight heading North Westerly for a few seconds before being obscured by nearby houses as it was flying at around 1,000ft.

Often see overflying where I live the Spitefire Hurricane and DC3 as well not to mention the Reds.

Regards
Nigel.

As one Avro makes her final landing, another returns to the sky. It's yin and yang. ;)

Ah, I see, of course ! :)

It would be nice to see her fly again - my godfather flew them. By the way, I see that the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry is closing its Air and Space Hall, which means MR2/AEW WR960 will be looking for a new home. It's on loan from the RAF, so maybe it'll head for Cosford, if they have room for it.
