JF Canberra SP3

Post by DaveB »

Hi Chaps..

The JF Canberra moves to SP3. As with other SP's.. this one is a full install and requires uninstallation of your previous model.

Glad you're happy

Have any of you actually tried this yet? One of the fixes is the engine start and now.. mine don't unless I hit Ctrl+E. The start buttons do nothing *-)

OK mate. Tried another variation on a theme.. the starter button for engine 1 started both engines :-O It could be me as I don't fly this often.. it's still a frame hog.

EDIT: I flashed the sim up again after watching the last 'Lewis' and this time.. the engines were running :dunno: Never mind.

Well.. I tried the Canberra again today. Loaded FSX with the default Cessna as per then selected the PR9. It was all lit and ready to go. Not sure if it automatically remembers the last state but I didn't select anything.

I then made it 'cold' by turning off all the fuel pumps/ignition and tried a cold start routine. This worked ok. I was careful not to have both engines switches made when I hit the starter for engine 1 (this resulted in both engines starting yesterday) so I guess the SP kinda works.

It can go back in the hangar now with the dust covers on ;)

Got a problem with the Airpseed indicator - it keeps jumping up and down by about 10 to 15 knots, instantaneously. So, now its 240 knots, now its 255 knots etc. Cant remember this in P3Dv2.4 - anyone else got the same ?

That isn't happening in FSX mate.

However.. the last few times I've loaded the model, the engines have been running. This time, they were cold :-O It's no real hassle as they start ok but what made it start cold this time? :dunno:
