No, I did not mis-type or hit the wrong keys I am really really very cross and annoyed with.................................ME!!!!
All the time that I have been flying in FS9 and FSX I have only just found the following out!
When making a flight plan and saving it then much later loading it I have always gone to the Find Route Tab and have had to re-plan the whole legs again as it just drew a straight line from say Heathrow to Glasgow whereas I had previously put in a SID from Heathrow.
Only a few days ago when loading a flight I accidentally hit the Edit Route and LO and Behold the whole original flight plan incorporating the SID was there waiting for me!!
I now think it has come to the time where I should change my avatar to Plonker!!

Hi Chris, when I wrote SID it may not be one at all in the real world but say on take-off from Heathrow 09L climb straight ahead until reaching radial XXX of BPK then to radial XXX Dav then onto Trent etc Cannot remember what the radial headings are that I use but hopefully this gives you some idea. Not saying that it is the correct SID but one that I made up in FSX Flight Planner for 09L for North Departure.

Nigel.

Nigel : thank you . I had hoped that it was a way of importing pre-ordained SIDs into an FS9 plan . I used to be able to do this with the wonderful little FMC that was incorporated in EFIS V2.5 , which sadly does not work with anything after FS2002
