Well I've worked out that I must have been 18 when that was taken in 1951...It was probably at the end of my course at ITW (Initial Training Wing) at RAF Cranwell (not to be confused with the college). It was also about the last time I wore that uniform because after some leave, I reported next to Number 3 FTS (Flying Training School) at RAF Feltwell as an Acting Pilot Officer :)
