You are quite correct sirrah. When I finally settled down, I did indeed imbibe. It was essential to kill the gremlins which had been trying to ruin my day. Pleased to be able to report my new medicinal cure - Glengoyne 15 years old appears to have done the trick.

I managed a trip to Octon with some flowers for Joan and it was warm enough to sit on one of the benches in deep contemplation.
