Cut the lawn? Sunday proved to be a very nice day so much so that on looking at my garden and knowing that during the mild weather we have been having the grass had grown quite a bit. So, being a bit apprehensive I took out the mower from the garage and proceeded to cut it wondering whether any of my neighbours might think that I had gone a bit cuckoo!! After about fifteen minutes there were the sound of other mowers springing into life, it seemed as though no-one wanted to take the lead this far into winter.
All that now remains are a number of weeds to deal with but only on a warm and sunny day.
Regards
Nigel.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
Did mine about 10 days ago & it needs it again! Magnolia is budding & our Lilac decided to flower again about 3 weeks ago then we had a bit of a frost........

Well all i can say is you are jolly lucky to be able to get out in your gardens as now living Devon as i have 3000 miles of open water to the west of me all i have had is Rain Rain Rain and high winds, it's been driving us mad!!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
Although it's been warmer than normal over here, my lawn is and has been under the snow for more than a month, so I won't be seeing any grass until May at the earliest!!!...yippee.
Looks like we have the same weather here, I mowed my lawn last Friday! Last few days have been a lot colder but it is now warming up and they predict 70F for Christmas Day! (21C)
Oddly enough, I mowed our yard yesterday when I saw how it had grown some, and I noticed that some heathers were starting to bloom. We're doomed obviously.
