Not having a Members Map, I really don't know who may be affected.

Re: UK floods
I'm in France & weather here has been good for the last month but how about you, have seen news shots of forest fires down under. I do feel so sorry for all of those flooded, & it makes their houses unsellable, not to mention getting the insurance to pay up & find quality workmen to do the work.

Re: UK floods
Thanks for your thoughts Keith.
There have been fires round about, but the devastation at Wye River etc. was about 130Km away.
The East of our State oten suffers from excess water, whilst the North West grain growers have continual crop failures due to drought.
When they built the North-South pipeline five years or more ago, I couldn't understand why it wasn't East-West.
The reason, of course was to satisfy the needs of the city folks. It has not been used yet.
We also have a desalination plant which has never been used.

Hey over there back home - stay dry and warm! The Midwest here also has been deluged with rain. Wacky weather all over the world.

it's been about 10 degress warmer than normal here in So. FL. ... and they say global warming means a 1 to 3 degree increase in temperaturenigelb wrote:Wacky weather all over the world. Nigel²
hardly something to complain about considering the perilous conditions some are under... for instance. . The un seasonal outbreak of tornadoes in Texas and the Midwest ... one traveling a hundred miles nearly a mile abreast.

imagine seeing that by the light of a transformer arc blast. .., and then blackness again, ....absolutely frightful!
Re: UK floods
Was at work when the tornado ripped through the Dallas area. We took cover in our shelter. Could hear the weather beating against the building. Kinda spooky.
While sitting there I couldn't help but think about the Londoners sheltering during the Blitz. Very brave folks all of them.

That DOES look scary.
Somewhere near you, or did you pluck it from elsewhere?
Cheers, Mike.
