It's Just Not Cricket!
Slaughter more like.... England (not SA) currently on 602 for 5 and approaching a 400 partnership for the 6th wicket. Stokes on 245 and the fastest 200 for an Englishman. This is just half-way through day 2.
Re: It's Just Not Cricket!
Go England! Not sure what all that means because when I was a nipper over there, we played a rather simple version of cricket and only bothered counting runs but the score sounds good to me. Someone on here tried to explain all that a while back but my feeble memory apparently has let me down. Ah, old age!

All I know about cricket is they make good fish bait.
May the best be to both.

Sounds like a repeat of Australia vs Windies.
The visitors couldn't take a trick, and the scores looked like telephone numbers.

Slaughter? Knock the S off the front, and what have you got? The sound coming from the SA dressing room.

Yup, it's definitely a batsman's wicket and sad in a way that well over 1200 runs will be scored in a contest that is very likely to end in a draw. Stunning!511Flyer wrote:Slaughter? Knock the S off the front, and what have you got? The sound coming from the SA dressing room.

When I was at high school in Scotland, we didn't play cricket, we played the bagpipes instead...so much more practical, y'know..
