Not just the old cars here!

Post by Airspeed »

I've often posted pix of veteran etc cars that pass through our town.
Forgot the camera on Sunday, and missed out on a chrome plated RR 1930s (?) fabric canopy, huge flying emblem on the bonnet. Ah well.....
Today, I noticed a rather stylish front end, which caused me to take notice.
Had NO idea what it was until I read the rear badge........
I've obliterated the number plate details, because the only people who can afford such vehicles can also afford to hire hit men. :hide: :wasntme:

Do you know what it is?

For shame, Mike - that trident says 'Maserati' just as loud as a prancing horse says 'Ferrari'...I dunno, young people these days :dunno: grump grump grump

Indeed it does Mike  I think he needs to get out a bit more

Agree with Dave on the looks. I've always liked the name Maserati but few of their cars have lit my fire.

Now, let me think, how many Maseratis have I seen....... *-)
mumble mumble mumble mumble

Right, that makes a grand total of ONE.

I don't read motoring magazines or watch commercial TV, or see any automotive ads at the local cinema, so I didn't even recognise the trident.
I don't think they compete in F1 (which is held in Aus) any more.
Apart from F1, we have V8 Supercars, but not the fancy European GT sports racers.

Having explained my lack of recognition, yes, I'm embarrassed. :$ :$

Back end looks like a Honda imo. For that money I would rather wish for something better looking than a Civic.

Believe me, if you hear one, you will never mistake it for a Civic, or indeed any other sort of Honda including an NSX !

PS I am interested to hear that Honda must still be selling somewhere, because here in Europe they are dead in the water and the general view is that they are unlikely to recover

Hondas are still very popular here, and their cousins the Acura.
