I'd never heard of that airfield before either and I thought I knew a lot of UK airfields! Not a part of the world I've been to for a long time.

Nuts don't have heads, Joe, (apart from me, that is).
They have holes for threads.
This forum has threads, but no holes.
I hope that makes it clear.

I'm somewhat between partly sunny and partly cloudy on that.

Just a shot in the dark, but could it be Honiley? Never been there myself but it could be a possibility. It is also the location of the HON VOR.

Hi Eric,
According to the UK Airfields site, linked re Radlett, above, Honiley was demolished 1960, before the video was made.....But was it totally demolished?
The video seems to show that the upper corner nearest the Mini is missing, or is it just faded into the sky? Honiley certainly had a rather long top deck (VCR=visual control room?)
I couldn't spot any photos on that listing which had those 3 large windows "upstairs", with none on the ground level. Are the lower windows obscured by a slight hill?
Tried to upload copied photo, but I'm getting "server not found", which I think means that the local exchange is too busy, and won't let me make contact.

I think if you compare the still from the video with this image...

...of the Radlett tower from the controltowers.co.uk site, you'll see that those 'large' windows are probably just the small high-level ones on the single-storey lower part of the structure. It's a pretty diminutive building and the feature that stood out to me was the line of dark masonry/roofing material that runs along both the top of both the lower section and the glazed cupola bit.
I have to confess I'd never even heard of Radlett airfield prior to Toby's post. Nor can I understand why my spell checker is some insistent on turning it to "Radeltt" each time I type it!
Cheers,
Nick
